Privacy Policy

Your workouts live on your phone, not on our servers. The buddy system is the one exception, and this page explains exactly what it syncs.

What stays only on your device

• Your workout history, schedule, reps, streaks and any health-related numbers.
• Your name, age, gender and goals from onboarding.
• Everything the app shows you. None of it is sent to us.

What we sync for the buddy system

Only after you start a buddy contract, we sync the minimum we need to keep you both accountable:

• Whether you completed your session today, and the date.
• Your current streak and last-active time.
• A display name you choose (optional).
• Nudges/reactions you send your buddy.

We never sync your workout history, schedule, or health details.

No account, no personal data

There is no sign-up. Your device creates an anonymous key: no email, no password, no phone number. We can't tie buddy data to a real-world identity, and we never sell or share it with advertisers.

Notifications

If you enable reminders and buddy alerts, we use Apple Push Notification service with an anonymous device token. You can turn this off anytime in Settings.

Your control

• Leave a buddy contract at any time.
• Delete all of your synced data from the app (Settings → Reset all data), which erases your slice from our servers.
• Block or report a buddy.

Retention

Buddy data is kept while a contract is active and for a short period afterward for safety and abuse handling, then removed. Deleted accounts are wiped immediately.

Children

Greasit is not directed at children. Buddy matching with strangers is restricted by age in line with the App Store rating.
